Where we work in North Scottsdale
We design homes throughout North Scottsdale, including DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Grayhawk, Troon, Desert Highlands, Windgate Ranch and the Pinnacle Peak area. Five of the residences in our portfolio are in Silverleaf alone, from The Village of Silverleaf to a Mediterranean courtyard home, a modern ranch and a builder's spec home.
Whether the house is a golf course villa, a hillside estate or a desert contemporary new build, we tailor the interiors to the architecture, the views and the way you live.
Designing for the high Sonoran Desert
In North Scottsdale the landscape is the main event. Our interiors lean on warm neutrals that hold their calm under strong desert light, with natural stone, plaster, linen, leather and warm wood that feel rooted in the place and age gracefully. Layouts frame the McDowell Mountains and the open desert, and covered patios, pool terraces and courtyards are furnished as true rooms, used through every season.
The result is the studio's signature: serene, uncluttered homes that are sumptuously livable, always sophisticated and never fussy.
New construction and renovation
Many North Scottsdale homes are custom builds. We are happiest joining early, reviewing plans alongside your architect and builder so millwork, cabinetry, lighting, fixtures and finishes are resolved together with the furniture plan. For existing homes we lead kitchen, bath and whole-home renovations, guiding you through contractors, budgets and timelines.
Working directly with the principals
Lauren Rautbord has more than 30 years of interior design experience, and partner Kendra Vaughn is a Scottsdale native who joined the studio in 2018. Because the studio deliberately limits its workload, you work with the principals themselves: the people who listen at the first meeting are the people who place the last piece.
How a project begins
Every engagement starts with a conversation and a walkthrough of your home, lot or plans. From there the studio develops space plans and a design direction, refines every selection with you, manages purchasing and coordination, and installs the finished home down to the last detail.
