Paradise Valley interior designer
Paul Lauren Designs designs luxury homes for Paradise Valley clients from our nearby Scottsdale studio, including new construction, renovations and complete furnishing, with Lauren Rautbord and Kendra Vaughn involved personally at every stage.
Interiors for Paradise Valley living
Paradise Valley homes are defined by generous lots, mountain views and a way of life that moves easily between indoors and out. We design interiors that honor that setting: calm, neutral rooms layered with luxurious fabrics, natural materials that respond to the desert light, and outdoor rooms furnished as carefully as the living room.
Lauren's interiors mix vintage and contemporary pieces, hold to the belief that less is more, and let the view lead, whether it is Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain or a quiet garden court.
Paradise Valley Lifestyle featured the studio in its October 2015 story, Interior Motives, a look at the serene, uncluttered and livable interiors that define our work.
Outdoor rooms, designed as carefully as indoor ones
Loggias, pool terraces and courtyards are furnished with the same care as the living room: comfortable seating, layered lighting and fabrics chosen to stand up to the desert sun, so they are used in every season.
Estate homes, new builds and renovations
Whether you are building new with an architect and builder, renovating a classic estate or furnishing a finished home, the studio manages every decision: space planning, millwork and finishes, lighting, furnishings, art and accessories. Our Biltmore Residence in nearby Phoenix shows the indoor and outdoor flow we bring to homes in this part of the valley.
How we begin
Every engagement starts with a conversation and a walkthrough of your home, lot or plans. We then develop space plans and a design direction, refine every selection with you, manage purchasing and coordination with your builder and trades, and install the finished home.
Personal attention, by design
Lauren Rautbord has more than 30 years of interior design experience and keeps the studio deliberately small so she and partner Kendra Vaughn stay hands-on in every project. You will work directly with the principals from the first conversation to installation day.

Begin with a conversation
Every home begins with listening: how you live, what you love and how the house should feel. For more than thirty years Lauren has shaped serene, livable homes around the people in them, and today she and Kendra welcome the conversation about yours.
