Scottsdale interior designer
Paul Lauren Designs is a Scottsdale interior design studio creating serene, livable luxury homes: whole-home interiors, new construction with your architect and builder, renovations and complete furnishing. Our studio is at 16419 N 91st St, Suite A125, Scottsdale, Arizona.
A Scottsdale studio with Chicago roots
Lauren Rautbord co-founded the firm in Chicago with the late Paul Marchetti, one of the city's leading style makers, and later relocated it to Scottsdale, where it has thrived. With more than 30 years of interior design experience, Lauren leads the studio today with partner Kendra Vaughn, a Scottsdale native who joined in 2018.
The Paul Lauren Designs approach
Our homes are known for serene, uncluttered spaces that are sumptuously livable: luxurious fabrics, neutral palettes and furnishings full of warmth and personality. We mix vintage and contemporary pieces, believe less is more, and design every room to embrace its view, whether that is a mountain silhouette, a golf course or a quiet courtyard.
What we design
Every commission is tailored to the house, its setting and the people who live in it:
- Whole-home interiors for new and existing homes
- New construction, in collaboration with your architect and builder
- Kitchen, bath and whole-home renovations
- Furnishing, art and styling for a finished, move-in ready home
- Second homes, designed from Scottsdale and delivered turnkey
Projects across Scottsdale
Our Scottsdale work ranges from Desert Classic, a calm and neutral home with generous rooms that let the landscape take center stage, to The Village of Silverleaf, composed in quiet layers of linen, stone and warm wood, and Silverleaf Spec, a builder collaboration furnished to showcase its architecture. From Scottsdale the studio also designs second homes, and our work has followed clients to San Diego, Park City, Idaho, Texas and Montana.
Hands-on, start to finish
Lauren deliberately manages the size of the studio so that she and Kendra remain personally involved in every home, from the first walkthrough to the final installation. Clients value that continuity: the people who listen to you at the beginning are the people who place the last piece.

Begin with a conversation
Every home begins with listening: how you live, what you love and how the house should feel. For more than thirty years Lauren has shaped serene, livable homes around the people in them, and today she and Kendra welcome the conversation about yours.
