Studio

Family room at Pacific Palisades, Pacific Palisades, California, interior design by Paul Lauren Designs

Paul Lauren Designs is known for serene, uncluttered spaces that are sumptuously livable. The idea that home is a haven, a place where you feel peaceful and happy, is at the heart of the studio: luxurious fabrics, neutral palettes and furnishings full of warmth and personality.

Lauren Rautbord, Owner and Principal of Paul Lauren Designs

Owner & Principal

Lauren Rautbord

Lauren has more than 30 years of interior design experience and earned her degree at the Harrington School of Design in Chicago. She co-founded the firm with the late Paul Marchetti, one of Chicago's leading style makers, then relocated it to Scottsdale, where it has thrived.

Her easy, elegant interiors have built a loyal clientele, and the studio's work has followed clients to second homes in San Diego, Park City, Idaho, Texas and Montana. Lauren stays hands-on through every stage of every project.

Kendra Vaughn, Partner at Paul Lauren Designs

Partner

Kendra Vaughn

Kendra joined the studio in 2018 and is now a partner in the firm. A Scottsdale native, she has traveled and lived overseas since the age of five, and those journeys awakened her passion for interior and architectural detail.

After earning her accredited design degree in 2008, she worked with builders and high-end residential firms, and her work has been published in Luxe and Style magazine.

Always sophisticated but never fussy. Less is more, and every view, from desert landscapes to urban lakefronts, should be embraced.

Process

Our approach

our services
  1. Discovery

We begin by listening: how you live, what you love and how the home should feel, with an honest conversation about scope, investment and timing.

  2. Concept and space planning

Floor plans, furniture layouts and a design direction take shape, with palettes and materials that answer the architecture and its views.

  3. Design development

Finishes, fixtures, lighting, upholstery, fabrics and art are selected and refined together, and presented for your approval.

  4. Procurement and project management

The studio orders, tracks and receives every piece and works alongside your architect, builder and trades on site.

  5. Installation

Furniture is placed, art hung and beds dressed, so you walk into a home that is complete, calm and entirely yours.
